IT’S TIME TO break a leg! Australian actor, TV presenter, writer and director Blake Stemm is bringing his sell-out season of performing arts courses to teach aspiring actors in Dubai. The two courses, Screen Acting: Scene Work and Viewpoints Acting Masterclasses are starting this month.
If you’re just beginning your acting journey or have some experience on film or stage, Blake’s 15 years of acting experience from Australia in theatre and television is bound to set you on the right track. Blake has preformed in projects including High School Musical, Rent, The Wizard of Oz, and Fame. He also has TV presenting expertise in Australia as well as here in the UAE.
The Screen Acting: Scene Work course will train students how to analyse a script for emotion and feeling and how to convey these necessary emotions believably in front of the camera. The Viewpoints Acting Masterclasses is an innovative method of acting that will provide participants with new a vocabulary to convey a character’s story through movement, gesture, timing and emotion.
The courses aim to boost your chances for acting success on stage as well as learning new techniques that may help your screen career. Courses will run from September 15 to October 20 from 7 – 10pm at Suite 1002, Al Thuraya Tower 1 in Dubai Media City.
